SGA approved Christian Fellowship’s funding request of $2,500 for an event titled “Break Every Chain” at its meeting on Tuesday, March 1.

The event, which will be held on Wednesday, April 27, will discuss sex trafficking. The $2,500 will be used to hire a performer from God is Bigger Ministries.

SGA also allocated $2,500 to FSU Pride Alliance for its LGBT Travel and Conference. The money breaks down as follows: $450 for registration, $750 for hotel rooms for the weekend, $245 for meals ($325 with breakfast) and $700 for transportation.

The event will allow members of Pride Alliance to examine diversity in the LGBT community, and then bring their ideas back to FSU to benefit the community as a whole.
